Cleveland is growing closer, with food.

Our mission is to responsibly grow, eat, and sell healthy food in order to provide our neighbors and ourselves the greatest opportunity for happy, wholesome lives.
Food forges bonds. Growing it connects us with the earth, and selling it connects us with the people around us. The better our relationship with the earth, the better the food, and the healthier we all can be.
We are three young growers with a love for Cleveland, a love for the outdoors, and a love for food. Our names are Sarah, Todd, and Matt. We all went to college together and shared a vision for how we think food should be grown and how it could benefit the community in which we live. By growing, eating, and selling responsibly farmed vegetables and fruits, we are striving to provide ourselves an opportunity for a healthy lifestyle and our community a healthy future.
We started Central Roots in 2010 to provide the best quality, locally grown produce available and to support Cleveland communities. Having taken the Market Gardener Training Course conducted by the Ohio State University Extension, we strive to learn from the resources around us to implement safe and effective ways to grow wholesome, soil-grown, chemical-free food. Each day we continue our education on responsible farming, in theory and in practice.
